Mens & Womens Box Eye Tees!

I thought it was interesting that optical illusions had never really featured on t-shirts and decided that by creating something that could be interpreted in different ways you would not be wearing a stationary design but two different designs depending on how you viewed it

With the YoYo tee I wanted to create an interaction with the wearer of the t-shirt and people he would come into contact with. The actually yoyo toy being replaced with YoYo reflecting the ability of the yoyo to spark conversation.

From vector art to Sticker

As with all new  brands a good sticker goes a long way, whether it be on the back of your head, a randoms car,  an unsuspecting street pole or someones forehead, stickers are sensational marketing tools! We used the amazing folks at stickermule to get ours made up and what a fine job they did! If you need stickers for anything sticker mule are your sticker peeps! It is incredibly simple, you drop in your design via their intuitive website, they send you an e-proof, you review it and if your happy they get on their mule and the stickers make their way to you around 10 days later!

Horn Man in Boys & Traffic Trio in Girls

We like to get the message out there about Hello Fresco as loudly and audible as possible so we thought why not create a tee with a Horn on it? The Horn Man tee! This piece of loud graphical mastery is obviously the Hello Fresco lad blowing a honking great big mother of a Horn! We have something to say… ‘Don’t blow your own horn (as that’s twatting and especially uncool), let us blow our horn for you!’ It’s better for the both of us:-)

The second tee was born from a fascination for the humble traffic light and its ability to alter the state of people and the objects they roam around in. If you think about it, the traffic light is simply three different coloured light bulbs (or LEDs depending on how quick your local council is to upgrade) and the power and order these things have over people is amazing! If you don’t obey these lights catastrophe may confront you, but in other facets of life it’s boring if your your cautious all the time. With this design we decided to upend the traffic light and see what mischief we can cause! Go first, pause next and finally stop if need be.

Boys 'Ask Y' & Girls 'Lick Me' Tees

A big shout out to Rosie & Nick for being July’s models, they did a top job!

The first tee idea I plucked from the ether came into being from the initial design below and soon hooked up with the idea that as a society we rarely ask ourselves why something is so….

I think as a society we often don’t question things enough in this world of ours. We think it’s extremely healthy to ask ‘Y’, as unless ideas are challenged they will never be improved! If James Dyson settled for the crappy bagged vacuum cleaner that lost suction we would not have the brilliant Dyson today! There are countless examples how questioning a commonly held belief will result in an improvement, so we hope this shirt reminds how important it is to ask ‘Y’. For example you could ask us why we choose to use ‘Y’ instead of ‘Why’? A graphical play on words we say!

  

'Lick Me' design

July’s second tee was spawned from a dream that one day Hello Fresco would be so widely successful that we will appear on a postage stamp Rather than wait that out and run the risk of postage stamps being obsolete in the future we decided to print our own!  This tee is called ‘Lick Me’ and might help you with your relationships or ensure a playful response!  Test your post officers with it today!

First Born Hello Fresco tees!

Well, as this is my first blog posting I feel the need to let you all know that starting anything is easy. However, actually getting to the point where you have something tangible can be more difficult, but it’s easy enough if your determined, passionate and enjoy what you do! I think I’m very fortunate in being able to do something I really enjoy doing, can do it in my own time, from my bedroom and often in the comfort of my underpants (no photos so don’t worry). There is also a certain kick you get from actually making something you want to use and there is nothing more enjoyable than watching something grow from the initial idea/concept to a finished thing!

These tees here are the first ones (June 2011 Tees) I have received from our awesome friends over at Amplifier, who do all the printing, packing and sending of our Hello Fresco tees! Without them and my super talented web guru Bryan from GoDynamo, none of this would be at all possible! So a massive ‘Thank You’ to them! Another big ‘Thank You‘ for Chelsea & Damon for helping with the modeling,  I’m really stoked with how the photos came out! Well that’s it for the first post and soon enough we will hit the big green ‘launch’ button and see where this takes us!
